Whats the difference between RVshare and Outdoorsy?
They are essentially the same but with pros and cons to each as a renter.  They are frequently changing up their terms, so check fees and insurance costs at each.

Can I see the motorhome before I rent?
Yes, please send a direct message to arrange. Keep in mind its booked out generally back to back during the summer and will not likely be available for viewing.

Can you do less than the minimum nights?
Yes but you will still be charged the for the minimum number of nights, you would just do drop off early.

Does the vehicle prep fee include cleaning?
No. You will need to bring the motorhome back in the same condition you picked it up aside from the laundry which can be piled on the master bed.

Why is the deposit so high?
This is just the deductible on the insurance so that in the case of a claim we are covered.

Do I have to pay the Burning Man rate if I'm not destined for Burning Man?
Yes, its a rate based more on demand than it is on destination. Burning manners do have an additional $750 one time dust cleaning fee.

What time can I pick it up?
Any time after 3pm unless you've selected the Early Departure option. In some cases particularly the off season, we can arrange for earlier pickup but there aren't any guarantees and it may come down to the week of departure. Reason being is that we may have an instantbook rental that causes a same day turnaround.

What time do I have to drop it off?
Between 8 and 10am unless you've selected the Late Dropoff option. In some cases particularly the off season, we can arrange for later dropoff but there aren't any guarantees and we may not know if its possible until midway through your trip. Reason being is that we may have an instantbook rental that causes a same day turnaround.

Can I leave a vehicle during my trip?
Yes you can leave a vehicle at our house in a secure location.

Can you meet me at the airport or somewhere else?
We haven't found this practical so no. However, its a $60 rideshare on Uber or Lyft to our house so very affordable. Takes between 40 and 60 minutes from the airport depending on traffic.

Can I use my own insurance?
Possibly. The booking will need to start with the included pay per day insurance and can be removed and refunded if adequate insurance coverage is provided.

Is it gas or diesel and whats the gas mileage?
Its regular gas and you'll average about 8mpg.

Can I tow ____________?
We allow towing up to 3000lbs. We don't provide the ball and there is no electronic brake controller.

Can I drive on dirt roads?
Up to 1 mile in distance only and no faster than 10mph.  Unfortunately, they rattle everything loose in a motorhome.

What are the dimensions?
Majestic: 10' Wide, 30' Long, 12' Tall; FR3 8.3' Wide, 34' Long, 12.5' Tall

What size hookup does it need?
Majestic: 30A to run the air conditioner. 15A converter is provided and is sufficient to run everything except the air conditioner)

FR3: 50A to run both the air conditioners. 30A connection is also provided but will only run 1 air conditioner. 15A converter is provided as well and is sufficient to run everything except the air conditioner)

How many miles does it go on a gas tank?
Majestic: ~400 FR3:~600

What happens if I don't do a very thorough job cleaning?
Extra charges may apply at a rate of $40/hour for extra cleaning if required and will be pulled from your deposit

What happens if I don't refill?
Fuel Charge $5/gallon
Propane Charge $7/Gallon

Can I take it in snow?
Not recommended and we don't provide chains.

Will you train me on how it works and how long will that take?
Yes we will go over everything thoroughly. It will take about an hour. When you drop it off it will take about 15 minutes to complete return inspection and do paperwork.

Are the miles negotiable?
Unfortunately no. RV share takes a commission on the rate and we've calculated a pretty close approximation to the true cost to driving a mile in our RV.

Do you offer a discount for early booking?
Not currently.

Do you offer discounts for vets, seniors, or any other respected status?
Not at this time.

What happens if I have an issue on the road?
If its an issue that significantly impacts the enjoy-ability of your trip we'll give you the option to have it repaired at the closest available location. We will refund the time lost from the rental or if possible extend your rental to make up for any lost time.
